The most central lesson from the Moomin stories is indeed that the time spent with family and friends is invaluable.
The illustration of the Moomin familys happy reunion in front of the Moominhouse is based on Tove Janssons comic Moomin and Family Life from 1955. In this story, Moominmamma and Moominpappa rescue Moomintroll from the waves of the sea. Soon, they realize Moomintroll is their long-lost son, and the family can return home together. Complementing this story, the other Family Time items show the reunited family spending time together in leisurely coziness and exploring the possibilities of the beautiful Moominvalley, where horse chestnuts are in bloom.
The Moomin family cherishes their time together, finding joy in each other’s presenceeven in quiet moments. The collection is a testimony to what it means to be a family.
