The opulent feel of classical pottery is given a distinctly modern twist with this Ochre collection from Olympia. The matte black underglaze is overlain with a bronze finish that gives each piece an authentic, worn look that’s sophisticated without being showy. It brings an earthy yet luxurious feel to any table. The black base layer features a reactive glaze that changes as it’s fired, giving the centre a mottled finish that differs slightly from piece to piece.
Coupled with the imperfect shape of the rim, this gives each Ochre bowl a raw, handmade and artisan feel – ideal for teasing out the authentic feel of rustic, natural-look dishes. Finished with deep sides to tie together looser dishes, and a flat base on which to get creative when plating, this is crockery for creative dishes. Perfect for sides, sauces and starters, it’s guaranteed to ensure your food looks every bit as good as it tastes.
